Laurence Meeùs

Laurence Meeùs is a Belgian entrepreneur and co founder of Turtle Cereals, a brand launched in 2014 together with her husband Thilo von Trott. She lived 20 in Denmark, a period that influenced her taste for organic, whole grain breakfasts and made her realize upon returning to Belgium that there were few good options for cereals without added sugar.
Prior to founding Turtle, she worked in more conventional jobs, among them project management at BNP Paribas. The business began when she was on maternity leave, during which time she and her partner developed the first porridges to fill what she identified as a gap on the market. Turtle has grown steadily since, diversifying from porridges into cereals and granolas, emphasizing that breakfast should be clean, healthy and delicious – and of course organic and GMO-free.
